Simon Webster is an award winning composer whose work includes original compositions and film scores in a variety of genres, ranging from contemporary classical to experimental electronic. He has a keen interest in the arts and is also a published illustrator.

At an early age Simon took up the guitar and soon after taught himself the piano and began composing by ear. As a teenager Simon formed several bands and developed an interest in music production, experimenting in a variety of styles and techniques.

At the University for Creative Arts, Simon began composing music for short films, after being asked by student film makers. His natural ability and passion for the art-form quickly became evident.

After graduating, he worked in sound post production, music production and music design, including projects for EMI and Sony. Simon later worked as a graphic/web designer, whilst pursuing his explorations of music production and developing his career as a freelance composer.

In late 2009, Simon released his debut solo EP, a collection of contemporary classical crossover compositions, met with praise by journalists and critics worldwide. In mid 2010, Simon was chosen by critically acclaimed Hollywood Film Director Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds with Will Smith) and the Accademia del Film to compose the music for the new Peroni Nastro Azzurro advertising campaign.

To date, Simon has composed music for a wide range of projects, most notably in media, where he has contributed to advertising campaigns for Audi, Barclays, Coca Cola, Eudora, Ford, HSBC, HTC, LancĂ´me, Mars, Mastercard, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Russian Standard Vodka, Schizophrenia 24x7 and William Hill to name just a few. He continues to write for solo, group and media projects.
